Liquigas-Cannondale takes to the roads of Italy: Milano-Torino and Gran Piemonte

Double duty tomorrow and Thursday. Line-up includes Basso, Nibali, Moser and Viviani



Liquigas-Cannondale is geared up to be a main contender in its end-of-season appointments, starting with two historic Italian races. The green and blue team will compete in the Milano-Torino tomorrow, Wednesday 26th September, and in the Gran Piemonte on Thursday 27th September. Two eight-man line-ups have been selected to bring home the win and provide a boost for the last classic of the season, Il Lombardia, on Saturday. 



For the Milano-Torino DS Alberto Volpi takes charge of a team featuring Ivan Basso, recent World Championship competitors Vincenzo Nibali and Moreno Moser, and Eros Capecchi, Damiano Caruso, Mauro Da Dalto, Tiziano Dall’Antonia and Cristiano Salerno.



The Gran Piemonte is a race for fast men like Elia Viviani and Daniele Ratto, who will be supported by the experienced Caruso, Da Dalto, Dall’Antonia and Salerno, as well as Josè Sarmiento and Alessandro Vanotti. Mario Scirea will take charge of DS duties for the team.
