Giro d’Italia is coming: it’s time for reconnaissance for Ivan Basso and the Liquigas-Cannondale

The captain will test the finish of Falzes-Cortina on Sunday. On Monday the route of team time trial of Varese



There are three weeks to go before the start of the Giro d’Italia and the Liquigas-Cannondale Team begins its preparations planning two important reconnaissance of the route.



The first will interest Ivan Basso: on Sunday 15th April, together with DS Stefano Zanatta, will test the roads of 17th stage, Falzes-Cortina d’Ampezzo, riding the final 70 kilometres (except bad weather) with Passo Duran, Forcella Staulanza and Passo Giau.



Second reconnaissance, planned on Monday 16th April, will be leaded by DS Zanatta and Paolo Slongo on the route of Verona’s team time trial (4th stage). Besides Basso, will be present a group of nine riders: Valerio Agnoli, Maciej Bodnar, Eros Capecchi, Paolo Longo Borghini, Fabio Sabatini, Cristiano Salerno, Josè Sarmiento, Sylwester Szmyd and Alessandro Vanotti. Among these riders, adding Vincenzo Nibali, will be chose the line up for the Giro d’Italia.
