Liquigas-Cannondale chose to rely on its young riders for GP Indurain and Vuelta al Pais Vasco. After the good performance at Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, the green-blue team will present again a line-up in the spirit of “green line”.
First event of the Spanish trip will be the road race, the GP Miguel Indurain, 179 km long and planned for tomorrow, Saturday 31st March. From Monday 2nd April the rider will run the Vuelta Pais Vasco, races composed of six stages and 9th event of World Tour circuit.
Liquigas-Cannondale will face both races with eight riders: Moreno Moser, Stefano Agostini, Damiano Caruso, Timmy Duggan (the only experience rider of the team), Dominik Nerz, Maciej Paterski, Daniele Ratto and Josè Sarmiento. Mario Scirea and Biagio Conte will be the team directors of the line-up.
«We want to offer to our young riders an important chance – affirms Scirea -. GP Indurain and Vuelta Pais Vasco present hard routes, as well as the list of riders really competitive. We know the limit of a young line-up but we’re confident too that our guys will do everything to exploit all the chances in the races».
