Peter Sagan to lead Liquigas-Cannondale in the Vattenfall Cyclassics
German challenge on the roads of Hamburg on Sunday



As part of its a busy schedule for August Liquigas-Cannondale is also competing in the Vattenfall Cyclassics, the German road race held on Sunday 19th August. The Vattenfall Cyclassics is the twenty-third race on the UCI WorldTour calendar; it covers 250 km in and around the city of Hamburg and is traditionally devoted to sprinters.



The green and blue team, led by DS Alberto Volpi, features the same line-up that raced today in Veenendaal, where the Slovakian champion Peter Sagan came second. Sagan has been selected to head up on the team and will be supported by a squad of brilliant rouleurs like Daniel Oss, Federico Canuti, Kristijan Koren, Fabio Sabatini, Juraj Sagan and Alessandro Vanotti, complete with Dominik Nerz who will be racing in front of a home crowd.
